The Woman Pope

A Novel by Nelson Clark
About Me
I started out as a playwright with my first two plays produced in Hawaii at the Manoa Valley Theatre (I wonder if it's still there?).  I've had six plays staged, in Boston and theatres around the country.  I've also written for television and had several screenplays optioned.

The novel has just been published as an e-book and is available at great e-book stores, such as(http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/35226), Amazon (Kindle), Sony, Barnes & Noble, Apple, Kobo, Diesel, and wherever e-books are sold. You'll get the book instantly and at the same great price -- $8.95!!!

In fact, the screenplay for The Woman Pope has been optioned no less than four times. People want to make it into a movie, but haven't yet been able to find a way. It will happen.

I've also written a very dark contemporary mystery called
alter

A murder mystery about a brilliant psychopath -- The God Killer -- who wants to assassinate God. Part of the plan is to kill a member of each of the world’s religions. Two spiritually conflicted Los Angeles detectives race to stop the carnage. In the explosion between faith and belief, someone is doomed and someone is redeemed.

The novel is also available at great e-book stores, (www.smashwords.com ) and at

Amazon (Kindle), Sony, Barnes & Noble, Apple, Kobo, Diesel, and wherever e-books are sold. You'll get the book instantly and at the same great price -- $8.95!!!

I'm currently working on a follow-up to the mystery with another in a projected series. It is about greed,  murder, betrayal, and destruction of the last open space in all of Los Angeles. This one is called

The Wetlands

Questions, comments, rants and raves will all be duly ignored, uh, I mean carefully considered.

Seriously for a moment, to say I am passionate does not come anywhere close to the feelings I have for this novel. I 've spent years trying to make it into the best story I could, with characters and settings and scenes that I swear at times felt like they reached out of the Dark Ages and demanded I write them down. The result is as real and as truthful as I can express. I ask you to trust what I have experienced, to be open to this woman's remarkable life. If you do, I think you'll come to know Johanna, Adrian her lover, her father Halbert, her nemesis Sergius and all the many characters as well as I do. And once you let them in, let them show you their world, I know you won't be disappointed .
